The Extended Feature Set Page (Ribbon, Codeplug, Feature Set)

The Extended Feature Set Page provides a view-only list of all Extended Feature enhancements that the radio is capable of using, and which of those Extended Features are enabled in the currently-loaded CPS - codeplug. Extended Features represent new or enhanced radio capabilities, including unique hardware, software, regional, regulatory, and customer-specific capabilities, while managing the backwards compatibility associated with the introduction of these new features or enhancements. Extended Features are similar to the purchased Feature Set, but without an associated cost.

General Cloning Rules for Extended Features:

When a target radio does support a certain Extended Feature, the Clone operation is allowed regardless of whether the source codeplug supports the same Feature or not.

If the target radio does not support the Extended Feature, the Clone operation is only allowed when the source codeplug also does not support that Feature, OR when the source codeplug does support that Extended Feature, and the Extended Feature is not being used in the codeplug (the Used in Codeplug field is "No").

In a few cases where a certain Extended Feature requires special hardware, the Clone operation is only allowed when both the source and target radio is equipped with this same feature / hardware. Please see the Used in Codeplug per-feature Important Note for the appropriate Warning.
